Four employees at a veterinary clinic were robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon, authorities said.
A man wearing a ski mask walked into Village Veterinary Clinic, 822 Hampshire Road, about 2:45 p.m. Armed with a handgun, he demanded money from the receptionist. When three other female employees returned to the clinic at that time, the man also demanded cash from them.
The robber took the four women to the back of the clinic, where he took their purses and a metal cash box. He left through the front door in an unknown direction.
No one was injured.
Authorities did not say how much money was taken.
The robber was described as in his 20s, possibly Latino, 5 foot, 7 inches and slender. He was wearing a black ski mask, black T-shirt and faded blue jeans.
Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the gunman. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 494-TALK.
