Share

Vintage Barbie dolls, French bisque bebes and other antique and collectible dolls will be on display Friday through Sunday at the “Doll Cirque” show at the Hilton hotel.

The show will feature more than 30 international dealers and merchants as well as a doll auction. Both will be held by the Maryland-based auction house Theriault’s, which auctions and appraises antique and collectible dolls.

On display will be early American cloth dolls, German character dolls dating to 1910 and modern American dolls from the 1950s and early ‘60s, said Stuart Holbrook, Theriault’s president.

Doll appraisers and dealers will be available to document the origins of dolls and to trace doll histories and ownership.

“You’ll have a rotating panel of top doll experts doing free appraisals,” Holbrook said.

The show will be open to the public Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 6 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The auction is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for all three days, but there’s no cost to attend the auction only. Call (800) 638-0422 for more information.
