Universal’s Kay Joins Interplay as Director
Kenneth J. Kay, chief financial officer of a division of Universal Studios Inc., joined the board of directors of Irvine computer-game maker Interplay Entertainment Corp.
Kay succeeds Paul Rouix, who stepped down when he retired from Universal Studios earlier this year.
Kay, who works for Universal’s Consumer Products Group, is one of two Universal executives on Interplay’s board. The other is Mark Pinkerton, senior manager of corporate development and strategic planning for Universal Studios Inc.
Universal owns about 25% of Interplay’s common stock. Interplay shares fell 3 cents on Thursday, closing at $2 a share.
