From Times Wire Reports

A man suspected of raping dozens of women--sometimes more than one at a time--has been linked by DNA evidence to 17 attacks, police officials said in New York. Authorities suspect that Isaac Jones, 34, who was arrested earlier this week, raped 51 women in 39 different attacks. In the latest incident, on Feb. 14, two women were raped and robbed in an elevator, officials said. Police said he is the man they were searching for when four officers shot and killed Amadou Diallo, an unarmed immigrant, on Feb. 4, a killing that sparked protests by hundreds of people. Jones was held without bail on charges of rape, robbery, possessing a weapon and possessing stolen property.
