Kathleen “Kit” Dameron has been named new principal of Sunset Lane School. Fullerton School District trustees appointed her Thursday. The current principal, Sue Faassen, was reassigned to head the faculty of Beechwood Elementary, which is reopening in September. Dameron, a La Palma resident, has been principal of Hawaiian Elementary School in Hawaiian Gardens since 1997. She received her doctorate at the University of La Verne.
