Although it has long been a favorite among pie lovers, Du-par’s has more to offer than dessert. The restaurant’s pot pies make a great, fast and easy main dish. They come in a generous single-serving size with a choice of three fillings: chicken, steak, and steak and kidney. The pies are unbaked, so keep them refrigerated, then bake just before serving until the crust is golden brown. One tip: Place the pies on a baking sheet in case of spillovers. They contain lots of rich gravy, along with assorted vegetables such as green peas, carrots, celery and potatoes.
