Campaign Calls

Share

* I have not missed an election of any sort since I’ve been of legal age to vote. But I almost didn’t go Tuesday. Campaign phone calls every other day, most of them computer-generated, which left a string of busy signals on my answering machine. Every day my mailbox was stuffed with four-color flyers touting either Jeff Horton or Caprice Young. Then they would call asking for donations. Why, so I can help pay their postage? It got so annoying that I actually called the offices of both candidates and explained that if they don’t leave me alone, I’m not voting at all!

Well, I did go to my polling place and voted for the least obnoxious of the two. But let future candidates know that this will not be tolerated. Tell me your agenda and don’t call me at dinner time!
