The Trestles Community Neighborhood Watch Group will host Larry Reynolds from Camp Pendleton on Tuesday to discuss the Marine base’s mission and land use, and the proposed southern extension of the Foothill Transportation Corridor. The proposed toll road through San Onofre State Park would connect Oso Parkway with the San Diego Freeway, but could be rerouted through San Clemente.

A bill proposed by Sen. Tom Hayden (D-Los Angeles) would require a two-thirds vote of both houses of the Legislature for new roads in state parks. If the bill passes, the Transportation Corridor
