Share

Six Ventura County towing contractors were among 37 such Southern California businesses to receive the Service Pro Award from the Automobile Club of Southern California for meeting high performance standards in 1998.

The award recipients represent the top 10% of all stations in a network of more than 300 contractors that provide 24-hour towing and other roadside assistance for Auto Club members.

Service Pro honorees are rated according to call response time, number of complaints and member satisfaction with service.

“We developed the Service Pro Award to recognize contract stations that consistently provide top-quality services to our members,” said John Brower, group manager of contract station relations for the Auto Club. “We work closely with our contractors to ensure they are capable of delivering the level of service we expect from them.”

The Ventura County award recipients were Airport Chevron, Oxnard; Bob Carlson Automotive & Towing, Ventura; Gene’s Towing Service, Thousand Oaks; Roy’s Towing, Thousand Oaks; Swink’s Enterprises, Simi Valley; and Sierra Towing & Transport, Westlake Village.

The Auto Club provides towing and roadside assistance to its members in 13 Southern California counties.
