Residents can paint, garden or even donate blood during Volunteer Connections Days this weekend. Brea groups want to help the county reach a goal of 40,000 helpers for this year’s event, which runs Friday to Sunday. Projects include a head-to-foot make-over of the Brea Boys & Girls Club and a bone marrow-blood drive for three local children with leukemia. Information: (714) 990-7175.
