Kubrick on Video: Warner Home Video, Columbia TriStar Home Video and MGM Entertainment will unite to release “The Stanley Kubrick Collection,” a nine-title compilation of the late director’s best works, on June 29--just two weeks before the theatrical release of his final film, “Eyes Wide Shut.” The collection--to be available on both VHS and DVD--was approved by Kubrick before his death, and includes the films “2001: A Space Odyssey,” “Lolita,” “A Clockwork Orange,” “Barry Lyndon,” “The Shining,” “Full Metal Jacket,” “Dr. Strangelove,” “Paths of Glory” and “The Killing.” The releases will also feature additional footage including theatrical trailers, a “Making Of” documentary on “The Shining,” and a rare interview with “2001” co-writer Arthur C. Clarke.

More ‘Hope’ for Kelley: “Ally McBeal” and “The Practice” creator David E. Kelley is returning to one of his earlier shows, CBS’ “Chicago Hope,” to lend a creative helping hand. Kelley, who created the medical drama in 1994 but then moved on to other projects, is expected to make several changes to the series next season. In addition, several cast members--including Christine Lahti, Jayne Brook, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Stacy Edwards and Peter Berg--are expected to leave the show.

He Still Is (No. 1): Nas’ “I Am” album tumbled in sales in its second week in stores (from 471,000 to 206,000 units sold) but was still strong enough for the New York rapper to hold on to the No. 1 spot on the nation’s album chart, according to SoundScan. Releases by TLC and Britney Spears finished second and third, respectively. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers’ “Echo” was the week’s strongest debut, selling 81,000 units to take the No. 10 spot. The week’s top single: TLC’s “No Scrubs.”
