Event organizers need volunteers to make signs and sell food and tickets for the city’s Family Picnic. The May 23 event will take place from noon to 6 p.m. at Irvine Lake, 4621 Santiago Canyon Road. Activities include fishing, carnival games, clowns, a chili cook-off, boat rides and a family sing-along show. Information: (714) 921-1505.
