The Weekend Escape column on Sonoma (“Bed and Bearnaise,” April 4) is in need of some corrections. Nobody familiar with Northern California would fly to Sacramento to get to Sonoma. Better and shorter to fly into San Francisco, Oakland or Santa Rosa.
Also, the budget box has no transportation costs for getting from Sacramento to Sonoma. Much too far to ride a bike, unless you are a triathlete. And, there are so many wineries in and around Sonoma, I am surprised that Diana Marcum mentioned only Gundlach-Bundschu.
