Vehicles weighing more than 26,000 pounds, except for public buses and public utility vehicles, will not be allowed to pass through the Plaza, according to a recent vote by the City Council. The city attorney is now preparing a municipal ordinance in an attempt to reduce traffic on Chapman Avenue between Tustin and Batavia streets. The weight limit will affect about 30 of the estimated 500 trucks that pass through the circle each day.
