Brookfield Offers Custom Homes

Share

Brookfield Homes has become the latest home builder to offer a home design studio where customers can customize their home as easily as choosing automobile options. But Brookfield has gone a step further, combining its home design studio with its mortgage lender unit.

Brookfield’s home design studio and its Southland Mortgage subsidiary have offices in the same Costa Mesa business park, allowing home buyers to line up a mortgage on the same day that they’re selecting custom home features.

Almost every large builder in Southern California has a design center. For example, Kaufman & Broad Home Corp., the Southland’s largest home builder, opened a center last year in Santa Ana and has more than a dozen others throughout the Western U.S.

In the Brookfield showroom, customers can price upgrades, like fireplaces and kitchen counters, as well as window coverings, bedding, furniture and other home accessories. In Orange County, Brookfield is selling homes in several areas, including Irvine’s Northwood Community, Tesoro Villas in Newport Coast, Atherton in Coto de Caza, and Wyeth and Sarasota in Ladera Ranch.
