Gunman Killed in Atlanta Hospital
From Times Wire Reports
A man brandishing a gun inside Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta was shot by a security guard, police said, and later died. The incident took place days after nine people were killed and 13 wounded in Atlanta by a gunman who had already killed his wife and children. The shooting involved a man identified as Kenneth Gay, who was to be admitted to the psychiatric unit, police said. Gay reportedly bolted at the entrance to the psychiatric unit, then later confronted a security guard with a gun.
