The Missing Trumpeter
It was lovely of Don Heckman to mention the names of the trumpet section in his review of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra’s “Tropicana!” program (“Predictability Mars Bowl’s ‘Tropicana!’ Tribute,” Aug. 2), but trumpeter Dennis Farias was unmentioned. It is demoralizing to a player to be left out of a program and, because of that, a review.
