Share

Road crews will begin repeated closures of Pacific Coast Highway at Topanga Canyon Boulevard next week to allow helicopters to move drilling equipment to a nearby bluff.

The closures will affect all lanes of traffic and last for 30 minutes, said the California Department of Transportation.

Beginning Wednesday, the closures will take place from 10 to 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday and Thursday until Sept 16.

The drilling equipment will be used to install meters that will track the movement of slide-prone slopes along the highway.
