Teach, Don’t Bully, Anaheim Children

* Schools are funded through property taxes.

Landlords base their rents on having to pay these taxes and therefore the renters are paying the property taxes. How then are illegal immigrants not paying for the schools in the same way as everyone else?

What is the real issue at hand? I wish this were about money. Sadly, it is not.

As the son of a 28-year veteran of the Anaheim Police Department, I can’t understand why Harald Martin and certain members of the Anaheim Union School District school board have decided to take a stand against illegal immigration by going after schoolchildren.

I hope the Anaheim school board will wake up and stick to their job assignment, educating kids, not bullying them.
