Leisure World’s Golden Rain Foundation instructed staff members Wednesday to adjust its budget to account for possible future developments, President Bob Ring said. The proposal would raise residents’ monthly dues by $7.50 to more than $170 each. Ring said he asked staff members to adjust the budget after being urged to come up with a concrete plan. Last month, the foundation, which manages the gated community’s amenities and activities, committed to developing the area near Leisure World’s golf course. Although no projects have been approved, the board requested Leisure World staff to include the construction of a multipurpose building, six new tennis courts and a new administration building by 2003. “We now have a conservative cash projection,” Ring said.
