Teachers’ Seminar to Focus on Reading
Ventura County teachers will learn new ways to teach reading this week during a workshop at Cal Lutheran University.
About 100 teachers from eight districts will participate in the weeklong seminar, part of a statewide effort to improve reading instruction and assessment in California’s public schools.
The workshop, which begins Monday, , is sponsored by CLU’s Educational Research and Leadership Institute.
Participating districts include Ojai Unified, Ventura Unified, Simi Valley Unified, Rio Elementary, Pleasant Valley Elementary, Moorpark Unified, Hueneme Elementary and Conejo Valley Unified.
