View Tech Inc. in Camarillo reported revenues of $9.4 million for the second quarter ended June 30, a 2% drop from the $9.6 million reported for the second quarter of last year.

The company reported a net loss of $294,000 or 4 cents per diluted share, compared with a loss of $4 million or 60 cents per share after restructuring charges in the second quarter of 1998.

“Our video business is continuing its growth at a rapid pace and improving its earnings on a year-over-year and long-term basis,” said William J. Shea, chief executive officer. “Sales bookings were strong in the second quarter, as reflected in the growth of our backlog and in deferred revenues on the balance sheet.”
