The city is asking the federal government to reimburse it for repairs made to damaged roads, a slope and a drainage system in the Hidden Hills area caused by a 1998 landslide.

City Council members will vote tonight to appoint Roy Stephenson, director of public works, to present the city’s request for $800,000 to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, about the same amount it cost to repair the damages.

Stephenson said the agency has approved the application but the City Council has to vote on it before any money is received.
