Elizabeth Patrine Olsen, a retired accountant from Ventura, has died at age 83.
She was born Elizabeth Larsen on Oct. 1, 1915, in Harvey, Ill., and attended school there.
She married John T. Olsen in 1942, before he was sent to Pearl Harbor.
In 1955, the family moved to the Montalvo area and a year later to Ventura, where she lived for 43 years.
Olsen worked for 15 years at Taylor Steel and Welding Co. in Oxnard. She also held a one-year term as president of a professional association for women accountants.
Her son, David, said she enjoyed traveling and went on tours to Europe.
Olsen had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ventura.
She was preceded in death by son Paul.
In addition to son David of Oakland, Olsen is survived by sons James of Hayward and Seth of Ventura; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services are scheduled Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Ventura, with Rev. Walter Dilg officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Charles Carroll Funeral Home in Ventura.
