STOPPING VIOLENCE: The San Fernando Valley Interfaith Council, the San Fernando Valley branch of the NAACP and Temple Em Habanim will sponsor a solidarity march against violence beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday at the temple, 7533 Fallbrook Ave., and proceeding to the Bernard Milken Campus of the West Valley Jewish Community Center, 22622 Vanowen St., West Hills. This event will also initiate the “Turn on a Love Light” campaign in which people are asked to demonstrate goodwill and love for all humankind by turning on their porch lights for the entire week. MUSIC CELEBRATION: “A Celebration of Community With Music,” featuring a variety of cultural musicians including the Pacific Coast Highlanders Pipe Band, String Family Players, Robbo, Latin, Klezmer and Kids on Stage, will begin at 6:30 tonight at the North Valley Jewish Community Center, 16601 Rinaldi St., Granada Hills. The event, which also includes a Havdalah service by Cantor Michael Russ, is designed to thank the community for its continued support following the recent shooting at the center.
