Brian Goldner has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer for Bandai America Inc. in Cypress. He had been executive vice president, sales and marketing. Bandai America is a subsidiary of Bandai Co. Ltd., the world’s third-largest toy company.

Vincent P. Calandra has joined ZLand.com in Aliso Viejo as vice president of North American sales. He was formerly with Cadence Design Systems in Edison, N.J., where he was global accounts director. Karen L. Mazzei joined the company as assistant public relations manager. She had been marketing programs supervisor with AlphaServ.com in Santa Ana.

Ian Crockett is the new president of Hunter Barth Inc., a Costa Mesa advertising and public relations agency. Crockett, who has been with the agency since 1984, was previously vice president and director of client services.

Kenneth Frier has been named chief financial officer of firstsource.com, a Santa Ana online provider of business products and services. Previously, Frier was vice president, corporate treasury, for Walt Disney Co. Before that, he was international treasurer of Oracle Corp.’s international division.

Jeffrey Everts has been appointed executive chef for the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel in Costa Mesa. He had been executive sous chef at the Westin Long Beach. Everts has also held culinary positions with the Double Tree Hotel in Glendale, the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles and the Phoenician in Scottsdale, Ariz.
