Studley Names Managing Director in Irvine

Myron G. Galchutt has joined the Irvine office of Julien J. Studley Inc. as managing director. He was previously corporate accounts manager with Grubb & Ellis for eight years, and before that he was a consultant with Ernst & Young’s Real Estate Advisory Group.

* Charlie Messerly has been appointed vice president of corporate content for Physiciansite.com Inc. in Newport Beach. Previously, he was senior manager and producer for various divisions of Disney Entertainment, including Disneyland.com.

In addition, Travis Brodeen was named vice president and chief technology officer. He previously worked for Vantage Systems in Newport Beach. Rick Little was named director of systems development. He had been director of systems development at BuyGolf.com.

* Colin Ungaro is the new chief executive of Irvine-based CurtCo Freedom Group, a unit of Freedom Communications Inc. He succeeds founder Bill Curtis, who has joined Freedom’s Interactive Media division as the chief executive of Smalloffice.com.

Previously, Ungaro was president and chief executive of International Data Group’s Network World Inc., a computer networking magazine. He also has worked at CMP Publications Group as editorial director for Communications Week, Communications Week International, Network Computing and Information Week.

* Michael Hogan has been appointed senior vice president, group director, for Wunderman Cato Johnson in Irvine. He was founder and president of the Phoenix Group in Michigan and most recently was president of ADventure Marketing in Colorado.

* Don Wilson is now with Washington Mutual in Irvine as senior vice president for mortgage risk scoring in the mortgage banking division. He was formerly founder and president of Applied Credit Technology Inc. Before that, Wilson was a senior vice president at Transamerica Financial Services and a vice president and senior vice president at American Savings Bank.

* David L. Puckett has joined Ceradyne Inc. in Costa Mesa as director of armor programs; he will be the senior manager responsible for Ceradyne’s armor systems for individual military personnel, ground-based vehicles and attack helicopters. Puckett has spent 14 years in private industry and with the Department of Defense. Most recently, he was with Teledyne Brown Engineering, where he was responsible for development of light armor materials and systems.
