Furon Reports Record Quarterly Income

Furon Co., the Laguna Niguel manufacturer of health care and industrial products from high-performance polymers, reported that net income for the second fiscal quarter ended July 31 rose 20% to a record $7.1 million, or 38 cents a share, from $5.9 million, or 32 cents a share, a year ago. Sales dropped 6% to $117.2 million.
