BofA Appoints Strategy Exec for Regional Commercial Bank Group

* Bank of America has named James C. Deane to the new position of strategy executive for its commercial banking group in Southern California. Deane, who had been a regional market executive, will now oversee lending, treasury and capital markets activities for larger middle-market companies in the region.

* Beverly Hills-based Canal Plus Image, the film production and distribution affiliate of European media conglomerate Canal Plus, has appointed Stephane Sperry and Richard Garzilli to the newly created posts of co-president of Canal Plus U.S. Sperry and Garzilli will together oversee the expanded operations of Canal Plus U.S. Sperry will act as the key creative executive in the activities of film acquisitions and co-productions, and Garzilli will have front-line responsibility for finance, business/legal affairs and administration for all of Canal Plus U.S.’ operations. Both executives also hold senior executive positions within Canal Plus Image.

* Los Angeles-based WeddingChannel.com, an Internet-based bridal registry and wedding planner, has named several new executives.

NancyJane Goldston has been named executive vice president of marketing. She most recently was a managing partner of the Goldston Group, a Los Angeles-based strategic advisory firm.

Erika Hart Hindle will be vice president of finance and corporate development. She most recently served in a similar position at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.

Brian Pike, a former director of program management at Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch Inc., was named vice president of technology.
