Rep. Edward R. Royce (R-Fullerton) will host a public town-hall meeting in the city’s council chambers Dec. 9. The lawmaker is expected to give a rundown on what has been going on in Congress this past year, touching on issues like the balanced budget, the national debt and the status of Social Security. After his speech, the congressman is expected to field questions from the audience, according to his spokesman, Brian Wilkes. In Congress since 1992, Royce has focused on issues of protecting crime victims and stemming illegal immigration. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at 6650 Beach Blvd.
