The City Council will consider an ordinance at tonight’s meeting that will change sections of San Clemente’s municipal code pertaining to adult-oriented businesses and bring the city into compliance with state law. The ordinance comes on the heels of legislation that provides “prompt judicial review” of any municipal decision to deny, suspend or revoke an adult-oriented business permit. The ordinance reflects the new law by including a subsection in the city code that ensures prompt judicial review for any applicant whose permit has been denied or revoked, City Clerk Myrna Erway said.
