Carole A. Tobias Perrone, a credit counselor, died Saturday. She was 56.
She was born March 7, 1943, in Ventura, grew up in Saticoy and graduated from Ventura High School in 1961. She went on to Ventura College, receiving her associate of arts degree in 1963.
She became a credit counselor, and for the past 25 years worked at Consumer Credit Counseling Service in Camarillo.
Perrone attended the First Baptist Church in Ventura.
She was known for her humor and was always fun to be around, according to her family.
She is survived by three sons, Joe of Lake in the Hills, Ill.; Tony of Ventura, and Jim of Cerritos; her mother, Mary Jane Tobias of Ventura; brothers Bob Tobias and Steve Tobias of Ventura; a sister, Stella McClatchey, and two grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends is scheduled at 11 a.m. today at her brother’s home on the family ranch in Saticoy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Elders Fund at the First Baptist Church in Ventura.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Charles Carroll Funeral Home, Ventura.
