Fashion troops, listen up.

Some divine intervention--fashionably speaking--is about to strike the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

Divine Design, a four-day shopping free-for-all where shoppers can pick up current high-fashion looks for men, women and children at 50% off retail--and more--kicks off at 11 a.m. today.

Yes, that’s a stampede of well-shod feet you just heard.

The event is open to the public and continues daily 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Monday. Admission is $20 a day, with the proceeds benefiting Project Angel Food, an agency that delivers meals to those disabled by HIV and AIDS.

Once shoppers get to the design center’s seventh floor, they’ll see why the event’s been dubbed “Seventh Heaven.” Nearly 20,000 square feet have been transformed into a stylish, albeit temporary, department store, with the hippest garments to pick from: couture to khaki, undies to outerwear, Tommy Bahama to Versace. Clothing by many local designers, including David A. Hawkins and Dina Bar-EL, is also for sale.

With each passing day, additional discounts are taken on the merchandise. Bargain hunters will realize their biggest savings, from 75% to 90% off, on the sale’s last day.

But, be warned: Experienced fashionistas have learned that by the last day, the pickings will be slim.

So brave the early crowds . . . and, girlfriend, pray for divine assistance when you get caught in a scuffle with a shopper playing tug of war with that Richard Tyler couture chiffon dress you say you saw first.
