No Charges to Be Filed This Week
Ventura County authorities announced Thursday they will not file criminal charges this week in the fatal shootings of three Santa Rosa Valley boys.
“We are currently reviewing the case involving the killing of the three Caro children,” said Senior Deputy Dist. Atty. Richard Holmes, reading from a prepared statement.
“We have some of the reports, but not all,” Holmes said. “We will not be completed with our review of this case until at least Monday.”
Meanwhile, sheriff’s officials said the boys’ mother, Socorro “Cora” Caro, remains the prime suspect in the Nov. 22 slayings of three of her children, ages 11, 8, and 5.
