Gadzuric and Moiso Have Been Out of Sync Inside

Share

Center Dan Gadzuric and forward Jerome Moiso have not started in the same game since Feb. 4--a stretch of 13 consecutive games, including the first three of this season. And it has been difficult when the Bruins’ best inside players are in the game at the same time.

“We definitely need to get together,” Moiso said. “It’s needed. We don’t play easily together yet.”

They barely play together. Gadzuric, with bad knees and a habit of getting into foul trouble, played only seven minutes against Fairfield and 15 against Iona before moving into the starting lineup against Morgan State on Wednesday and going 20 minutes. That was the same game in which Moiso, a starter the first two games, came off the bench after battling flu and played 17 minutes--fewer than all but one Bruin.

The two have barely even practiced at the same time because of injuries. And when they do, it is often on opposite sides in scrimmages and drills.

“We need to play together more,” Gadzuric said. “We’re going to be practicing together more, to try and get that rhythm.”
