Curry, Harris Spark Northridge, 65-55

Edniesha Curry scored 15 points and Cal State Northridge defeated UC Irvine, 65-55, in a women’s basketball nonconference game Saturday at Irvine.

Curry made six of 14 shots, including two three-point baskets. Teammate Keisha Harris had 14 points and 13 rebounds.

The Matadors shot 35% but outrebounded the Anteaters, 47-38.

Biola 81, The Master’s 64--Lesley DuBois scored 31 points for Master’s (7-3) in a nonconference game at Biola.

Ventura 62, San Jose 52--Sandra Kaufhold scored 10 of her 22 points in the first half for Ventura in the semifinals of the College of the Sequoias tournament.

Shatasha Noble had eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds for Ventura (12-0).

Valley 57, Santa Rosa 54--JennieLee Greslie made three baskets in the final three minutes for Valley (5-3) in a consolation game of the Sequoias tournament.

Santa Rosa (6-2) never led but slashed a 21-point deficit down to two points at to pull within 49-47.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Valley 68, Orange Coast 64--Felix Lang made two free throws with 19 seconds remaining for Valley in the final of the Orange Coast tournament.

Tournament most valuable player Isaac Williamson had 23 points for the Monarchs (8-3), which won their seventh in a row.

Bakersfield 90, Glendale 74--Clayton Powdrill scored 19 points for Glendale (6-3) in the championship game of the Bakersfield tournament.

Rodney Crawford had 28 points and 10 rebounds for Bakersfield (7-2).

Oxnard 69, Citrus 49--Chris Massey had 12 points and 16 rebounds, and Marcus Duffey had 10 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks for host Oxnard (7-4) in a nonconference game.
