The students and staff of the Golden Hill School will kick off a “new millennium of reading” on Friday by joining schools across the nation in reading for 2,000 seconds beginning at noon Eastern Standard Time.
At 9 a.m. Pacific time, all the school’s students and staff will go outdoors and read for 33 and one-third minutes, which is the equivalent of 2,000 seconds. Older students will read with younger students, and parents are also invited to bring books to read or share.
