Little Lamb Pizzas

Share

Armenians call their meat-topped pastries lahmajune, but others might call them pizzas, the generic term now for any flat circle of dough covered with meat or other toppings. Lahmajune from A. Partamian, a 50-year-old Armenian bakery in Los Angeles, is densely topped with ground lamb, tomatoes and bell peppers. Reheat the thin, 8-inch circles at 350 degrees for 10 minutes for a snack or light main dish. Or cut into pie-shaped wedges for easy appetizers.

Lahmajune, $1.20 each at A. Partamian Armenian Bakery, 5410 W. Adams Blvd., Los Angeles. (323) 937-2870.
