LAGUNA WOODS
About 50 people came to Leisure World’s Golden Rain Foundation board meeting Tuesday to urge board members to draft a specific plan and conduct a poll before going ahead with the $20-million Gate 12 construction project.
The project involves building various new amenities such as offices, multipurpose rooms and tennis courts and is named for its proximity to Leisure World’s Gate 12.
At least a dozen people came up to the podium to express concerns about the project, ranging from paying extra monthly fees to cutting citrus trees.
