Elian Gonzalez
* Perhaps there is an equitable manner in which to resolve the Elian Gonzalez dispute (“Government Warns U.S. to Return Boy,” Dec. 3). The father, the remaining parent, has a right to raise his son. The mother, now deceased, wanted a better life for herself and her son. The U.S. government can fulfill the wishes of both the parents by returning the child to his father and also granting the child U.S. citizenship, so that when he is old enough to make his own decisions he can decide which country he wishes to reside in.
