Road Is Difficult for Gonzaga

Share

Gonzaga comes to Pauley Pavilion on Saturday, or at least what’s left of Gonzaga.

The Bulldogs, suddenly an attraction after their improbable tournament run last season, don’t have the luxury of being able to gear up for a game against No. 11 UCLA. Not after their week.

They lost to No. 1 Cincinnati, 75-68, last Saturday at Cleveland. Then they lost to No. 19 Temple, 64-48, Wednesday in Chicago.

And now they get to play another ranked team on the road, UCLA, which has had 10 days off to prepare.

Gonzaga won’t even have the chance to recuperate after this weekend. It plays at Washington on Monday, goes home to Spokane to face Montana, and then has four more road games.
