Re “Manufacturing Make-Over Reshapes Region,” Valley@Work, Nov. 30.
Karen Robinson-Jacobs’ article was interesting but the graphs were deceptive. The services category, including the motion picture industry, disguises the fact that there are thousands of people in the food services and hotel industry that are earning wages below $10 per hour. I do not know how many people are in those industries. However, by lumping them with the motion picture industry, the situation is masked.
