Miranda Ruling
* After reading “Supreme Court to Reconsider Miranda Rights” (Dec. 7), I’m not really sure what the conservatives want. Are they suggesting that the right to remain silent be waived, or just the reading of Miranda? The problem seems to be with the police who forget to read Miranda to the suspects. If arresting officers would take the three seconds to recite the Miranda rule, there wouldn’t be a problem with reversals of court decisions.
