Y2K Information Packets Available

Share

Have extra cash on hand just in case the ATM isn’t working on Jan. 1. Make backup copies of your computer files. And don’t wait until New Year’s Eve to fill your gas tank.

These are a few of the suggestions contained in Y2K information packets being distributed by the L.A. Family Housing Corp.’s Trudy and Norman Louis Valley Shelter to better prepare families and small businesses for potential problems when the new millennium begins.

Information pertinent to families is available in English and Spanish; information for small businesses is in English only. Materials were gathered from the mayor’s office, the county of Los Angeles and Candle Corp., a company specializing in Y2K readiness.
