The Volunteer Center Assistance League of Southern California needs help at the Bernardi Multipurpose Senior Center in Van Nuys. * The nonprofit organization MEND is seeking English-as-a-second-language tutors for its office at 13460 Van Nuys Blvd. in Pacoima.
* Volunteers are also needed to socialize with patients at the Nursing and Rehabilitation Unit of Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys.
* The Jewish Homes for the Aging in Reseda needs volunteers to teach arts and crafts and prepare other activities for seniors.
