A fund-raiser will be held Wednesday for Arthur Carmona, the Costa Mesa teenager sentenced to 12 years in jail for robbery. Controversy has surrounded the case, as some jurors have recently come forward saying they were pressured to vote guilty despite feelings that a reasonable doubt existed. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge, 212 S. Elk Lane. A $25 donation is suggested. Funds will go toward Carmona’s appeals. Information: (714) 740-4099.
