15 Companies to be Changed in Nasdaq 100
The Nasdaq 100 index will get some new members next Monday, as Nasdaq performs its annual re-balancing to make sure the index contains the electronic market’s 100 largest nonfinancial stocks by market capitalization.
Nasdaq will add 15 stocks and delete 15 others.
Some of the stocks to be added got a boost on Monday. The American Stock Exchange-traded unit trusts (ticker symbol: QQQ) that tracks the Nasdaq 100 will have to buy the additions and dump the deletions. But only about $4 billion is invested in those trusts.
The stocks to be added, and their ticker symbols and Monday price changes: Adelphia Communications (ADLAC; $62, up 31 cents); Applied Micro Circuits (AMCC; $104.69, up $8); BroadVision (BVSN; $130, up $22.63); EchoStar Communications (DISH; $91, down 50 cents); i2 Technologies (ITWO; $140, down $13.69); Legato Systems (LGTO; $72.94, up $2.31); MedImmune (MEDI; $134.94, up $8.56); Metromedia Fiber (MFNX; $40.94, up $1.75); Network Appliance (NTAP; $160.63, up $6.75); Network Solutions (NSOL; $209.88, down $8.88); NextLink Communications (NXLK; $69.25, up $5.13); PMC-Sierra (PMCS; $119.31, up $1.19); QLogic (QLGC; $136, up $7.06); RF Micro Devices (RFMD; $68.88, up 69 cents); and SDL (SDLI; $174.25, up $1.13).

(ANDW; $14.75, up $1.38); Autodesk (ADSK; $31.88, down 69 cents); CBRL (CBRL; $10.03, down 3 cents); Cambridge Technology (CATP; $23.38, down $1.13); Electronics for Imaging (EFII; $51.06, up 38 cents); Fastenal (FAST; $37.13, up $1.13); First Health (FHCC; $26.38, up 13 cents); Lincare Holdings ($30.06, up 38 cents); Micron Electronics (MUEI; $10.31, down 25 cents); Reuters (RTRSY; $78.31, up $2.94); Rexall Sundown (RXSD; $10.56, up 38 cents); Ross Stores (ROST; $18.63, down 88 cents); Stewart Enterprises (STEI; $4.91, up 22 cents); Tech Data (TECD; $22.69, down 88 cents); and Worthington Industries (WTHG; $14.94, down 69 cents).
