SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
The city has begun taking steps to prepare for winter-related problems such as power failures, storms and downed trees.
Staff has been securing emergency contacts with private contractors, testing equipment, trimming trees, and servicing pump stations.
The city is encouraging residents to inspect their roofs for missing shingles or tiles, make repairs before wet weather arrives and remove dirt, weeds or other material from landscape systems.
