Logos in Park
Re “Corporate Logos Help Add Some Green to Needy Parks’ Budgets,” Dec. 5: Am I the only one who is nauseated at Coca-Cola’s sticking its name into the faces of our young people in exchange for their support of Lennox Park? How can anyone enjoy the natural freedom of a park when surrounded and assaulted by corporate logos?
So we have a budget crunch. Why shouldn’t a rich corporation give something back to the ones it has exploited and who made it rich in the first place--give back, as in “donate”? Has Coca-Cola not heard of tax write-offs?
We must stop Coca-Cola and any other corporate behemoth from further possessing our parks and our minds and our pocketbooks.
