UC Irvine Professor to Be Honored

UCI professor of dance Donald McKayle has been named one of five people to be awarded the 2000 UCI Medal, the university’s highest honor and the equivalent of an honorary doctorate on March 18. McKayle whose career spans more than 50 years in the performing arts, will receive the award at a dinner at the Hyatt Regency Irvine. The other award winners are UCI Executive Vice Chancellor William J. Lillyman, UCI distinguished professor of neurobiology Ricardo Miledi, Broadcom Corp. Co-Chairman and Chief Technical Officer Henry Samueli and homeopathist S-usan Samueli.
